It's not just about learning Japanese calligraphy, it's your peaceful moment to slow down and breathe amidst busy days.
0. Prepare Tools
We can either help you to purchase tools from a Japanese calligraphy shop where does overseas shipping or help you find them in your country.
1. Receive Your Monthly Characters
Each month, you'll receive Japanese characters along with meanings and their Japanese cultural context (if applicable). Your package will include an sample image and a video that shows how to write the characters to help you master each character authentically.
2. Practice at Your Own Pace
Create a peaceful moment in your day to practice these characters. Find your quiet sanctuary by setting aside time to move mindfully through each stroke, letting the characters guide you into calm. Perhaps brew a cup of tea or coffee, clear your space of distractions, and allow yourself to be fully present with brush in hand. This mindful practice becomes a meditative break from the rush of daily life.
3. Share Your Progress
Simply take a photo of your work and send it to Sip&Shodo TOKYO via email or your preferred messenger app.
4. Get Guidance
Your submission will be reviewed by a Japanese calligraphy teacher (Hiroki) who will provide personalized corrections and insights to help you improve via email or your preferred messenger app.
5. Private Video Session
You can ask questions through email or your preferred messenger app weekly, but you can also utilize your monthly private video session for things that are easier to discuss face-to-face, such as receiving live feedbacks or personalized tips.

The Sip&Shodo TOKYO experience is a 2-hour in-person session held in Tokyo, Japan. This monthly subscription is an online service that lets you enjoy Japanese calligraphy, find peaceful moments, and express your creativity, all from the comfort of your home.
・How do I subscribe?

・How does payment work?
We'll send you a payment link via email. Once subscribed, the monthly fee for your selected plan will be charged automatically each month. We will begin charging the monthly fee once your tools are ready.
・I don't know how to prepare the tools.
No worries, we'll support you! We can either help you to purchase tools from a Japanese calligraphy shop where does overseas shipping or help you find them in your country. The cost of tools is not included in monthly subscription fee and the total cost is around 9000 JPY (+ shipping).
・Which languages are available?
You can learn in English, Spanish, or Japanese.
・How do I cancel my subscription?
Simply send an email to sipshodo@gmail.com. You can cancel anytime, but please note that charges for the current month are non-refundable.
