About Me

Hello, I’m Asami from Sip & Shodo TOKYO :)
※Sip & Shodo TOKYO is founded by Hiroki and we are providing the best Japanese calligraphy experience for everyone.

I spent many years working in Guest Relations at Mitsukoshi Isetan Group, Japan’s oldest department store. Through my experience as a concierge and in VIP lounge operations, I learned and shared the essence of “Omotenashi” — the Japanese spirit of heartfelt hospitality and cultural elegance.

I was also honored to serve as a Tourism Ambassador for Chuo City in Tokyo, where I introduced visitors to the charm of Nihonbashi’s traditional crafts and long-established stores.

Since childhood, calligraphy has been a part of my life, teaching me the true meaning of what it means to “write.”
In the fast-paced rhythm of modern Tokyo, calligraphy offers me a moment of calm time for balance and mindfulness.
Grinding the ink, sensing its aroma, adjusting the shades, and moving the brush—each gesture becomes a quiet dialogue with the heart.

With this meditative art, we wanted to create an experience where guests can also enjoy Japanese sake or snacks while gently immersing themselves in culture.
That desire led to the birth of "Sip & Shodo TOKYO".

Drawing on my background in hospitality and cultural exchange, I design each session to be authentic, relaxing, and memorable.
Whether you are new to calligraphy or simply curious about Japanese culture,
I look forward to sharing this special journey with you.

Hello, I’m Ryusaku and Sip & Shodo TOKYO supporter :)
After studying abroad in the U.S. for graduate school, I returned to Japan and have been working as a software engineer at foreign-affiliated companies and tech firms.
In the middle of my busy days in the digital world, I find peace of mind through calligraphy, which I've practiced since childhood.
I look forward to sharing the beauty of Japanese culture, along with the meditative experience of calligraphy, with all of you!
